CORSIA & SAF
CORSIA fuel eligibility depends on certification through sustainability certification schemes approved by ICAO. Fuel buyers should therefore diligence the certification route as carefully as the commercial supply contract.
CORSIA & SAF
A SAF procurement contract and a CORSIA emissions-reduction claim are not the same document. The airline needs a traceable evidence chain connecting the certified fuel, sustainability characteristics, lifecycle value, quantity and operat...
CORSIA & SAF
CORSIA's eligible-fuel framework includes lower carbon aviation fuel as well as sustainable aviation fuel. LCAF is fossil-based fuel that meets CORSIA sustainability requirements, so its compliance treatment depends on certified lifecycl...
CORSIA & SAF
An airline claiming CORSIA eligible fuel benefits may rely on an applicable ICAO default lifecycle value or calculate an actual value under the approved methodology. The choice affects the emissions reduction credited to the fuel and the...
Aviation Carbon Offsetting
An airline buying large volumes does not need to concentrate every compliance and voluntary objective in one carbon project. Portfolio construction can diversify delivery, country, methodology, permanence and authorization risk while pre...
Aviation Carbon Offsetting
Aviation carbon procurement requires two diligence tracks: does the unit qualify for the intended use, and does the underlying climate claim meet the buyer's integrity threshold? Passing one test does not automatically satisfy the other.
Aviation Carbon Offsetting
A carbon offset policy should define what the airline is willing to buy before a trader sends an inventory list. Eligibility, project type, geography, vintage, rating, authorization, concentration and claims rules belong in policy rather...
CORSIA & SAF
CORSIA eligible-fuel reductions are based on lifecycle emissions rather than assuming that combustion emissions disappear. That makes feedstock, production route, transport, land-use effects and approved methodology central to the compli...
CORSIA & SAF
Book-and-claim can separate environmental attributes from physical fuel location, but CORSIA recognition depends on the applicable ICAO rules and the evidence accepted for the operator's eligible-fuel claim. Commercial certificates shoul...
Aviation Carbon Offsetting
The climate claim is the last control in an offset transaction. Airlines and charter providers should be able to connect every statement made to customers with a calculation method, a defined quantity of retired units and the registry ev...
Aviation Carbon Offsetting
Private jet charter programs increasingly offer carbon or SAF options to clients, but the environmental product should be specified as clearly as the aircraft quote. Buyers need to know the emissions methodology, unit type, retirement pr...
Aviation Carbon Offsetting
A business aviation operator may choose to finance voluntary mitigation even when a flight does not create a CORSIA offsetting obligation. The claim should make that distinction clear so passengers and corporate clients understand whethe...
