The Praetor 600 is intended to make routes such as Paris to New York, London to New York and São Paulo to Miami realistic super-midsize missions under suitable operating conditions. Main passenger-cabin length is also slightly greater at about 25.2 feet versus approximately 24.1 feet. AvBuyer calculated approximately 930 cubic feet of passenger cabin volume for the Challenger 3500 compared with 705 cubic feet for the Praetor 600 when measuring the main seating area. 

Cabin volume does not automatically determine comfort, but additional width is noticeable when passengers move through the aisle, work at opposing club seats or spend six hours or more onboard.

The Praetor 600 cabin is narrower, but Embraer still provides a genuine stand-up, flat-floor super-midsize interior. Its standard eight-passenger executive layout can be configured around fully reclining seats that convert into berths, a wet galley and a private rear lavatory. 

Embraer publishes a 5,800-foot cabin altitude at maximum cruise altitude. The latest Praetor 600E further changes the cabin proposition with redesigned seats, an updated cabin management system and the Smart Window, which can display exterior camera views or function as a digital workspace and entertainment surface.

The Praetor 600 offers materially greater mission reach. The Challenger 3500 gives that space back to the passengers through a wider and more voluminous cabin. Buyers should determine which limitation would affect them more often.

Payload with maximum fuel is one of the most useful specifications for long-range buyers because it shows how much passenger and baggage capability remains when the aircraft is fueled for its longest missions. 

AvBuyer's comparison placed the Praetor 600's available payload with maximum fuel at 2,194 pounds compared with 1,905 pounds for the Challenger 3500\.
